Karen specialises in contentious tax, trust and probate cases as well as tax related professional indemnity litigation. She has a national reputation in her specialist fields and has twice been recognised by the tax profession at the Taxation Awards.

Karen is dual qualified, being a Chartered Tax Advisor as well as an experienced professional indemnity and litigation solicitor. Karen is also a member of ACTAPS (The Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists). She is heavily involved with the Chartered Institute of Tax (CIOT), and the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT), being a member of the Joint Standards Committee and of ATT Council as well as acting on a number of working parties looking to reduce and manage risk for professionals in the tax arena.

Karen is an advocate of alternative dispute resolution, is an effective negotiator of disputes and has a wealth of experience and success at mediation. She is able to use her unique combination of skills to resolve a variety of tax/accountancy and insurance related matters in a cost effective and effective manner.
